We had a customer who wanted to install solar panels on her house. Her roof was 20+ years old and she did not want to go through the trouble of removing the panels in a few years. We were able to work out a deal to provide her with a brand-new Owens Corning roofing system that fit in her budget and did not delay the solar installation. As we always do, the shingles were stripped down to the deck to give this customer a completely new roofing system. She knows the wood is in good confition and will not fail with the added weight of solar panels on top of the roof.
